Teacher Gaming Network

The Teacher Gaming Network is an excellent social network for Gamification.  This is a network that allows educators to create educational games that can be shared w/ students via a URL or embedded into a site.  A teacher can create a game w/ 5 different questions styles: T/F, multiple choice, list, short answer, or fill in the blank.  A paid unlock unlocks all 5 types of questions and student tracking for a teacher.  Also, being a social network a teacher can search through 1000's of other educational games to share/use w/ their students.

Biteslide

Biteslide is one of my all-time favorite Web 2.0 sites for creating beautiful presentations in a safe environment.  What makes Biteslide so great for education is that it's CIPA compliant and that teachers can create student accounts.  Also, a digital presentation can contain all types of media such as: video, images, text, etc etc, and best of all can be embedded into a site.  This is a great way to incorporate technology into a curriculum and works for any subject and grade level.

GoClass

GoClass is a wonderful site/app for creating lesson plans and sharing them w/ students.  This is done by creating engaging content as well as class rosters on the web and then sharing them w/ students on their mobile devices.  This is ideal for mobile learning and "flipping" a classroom.  Also, after the students use their mobile device to follow/complete the lesson or exercise, teachers get instant real-time results for assessing their students.
